MB sticker on fuel tank cap

There is MB sticker on the inner side of the fuel tank cap.

Do you completely remove the sticker? How?

Do you leave some part of the sticker that was not removed at the first peeling?

Fuel tank cap?

Or, fuel tank door?

The fuel tank door sticker has important consumer/driver information that should not be removed.

Fuel tank cap.

MB put some sticker on the cap, and the sticker is on the inner side of the cap.

Is it a new car or something? That is weird. Never heard of anything like that so not sure how to advise. What does it say?

When you buy any parts at dealer, there will be product label attached to it. I mean that sticker. This sticker was on the inner side of the fuel tank cap. I peeled it off but some residue remained. To completely remove it, I think I need to scrub or put it in water for a long time, but I think it may damage factory coating if there is factory protective coating.

Why in the world would you want to remove that sticker? It contains the recommended MB tire inflation pressures - does it bother you that much?

Amazing.

I do not meant the tire inflation info sticker. I mean the MB product label on the inner side of the fuel tank cap.

OK, now I understand too. And to answer your question I believe that most stickers are applied w/ an adhesive of some type. And most of these adhesives can be removed w/ several petroleum-based products like WD40, lighter fluid, Goof Off, etc... I don't think these will adversely affect the inner part of the cap. But I also believe that the remaining adhesive will not affect the cap's operation, so why not just leave it alone?

Goo Gone works well removing residue of most stickers.

And as a last resort, this stuff removes pretty much everything, including skin

Trust me, I know

Just have a water hose ready soon after.
