I just took my car out of 6 month storage. The first 3 times I ran the car it started without any problem. When I stated it the 4 time I heard a rattle under the hood for about 1-2 seconds then it ran fine. I supect the chain tensioner as the rattle doesn't occur every time it is started. I checked the chain last fall when I put the car away and it showed about 2 degrees of slack if that. The car has about 112000 miles on it. The engine has had 5000mile oil changes with Mobil 1 for about 10 years. Am I on the right track suspecting the tensioner since this rattle does not occur on start up everytime.Any other leads appreciated.
