Hi does anyone know how much a bottle of Mobil 1 costs? I want to MB to service my 99 C280 with Mobil 1, but they said it costs 62 bucks CDN for they do so. I am wondering, can I buy my own bottle outside and give it them when they service the car for me? Does anyone know how much it costs and how many times can I change the oil for a bottle? and which ones that I need to consider to buy, if I do want to buy it...thanks for ur reply
I look forward to it

I would be very surprised if you could find a shop that would be willing to use oil that you provide. However, I pay about $50 (US) for a lube service with Castrol GTX. $62 Canadian doesn't sound too bad.

I dont see why any MB garage should refuse to service your C class
with you providing your own oil, they still get paid for the labour entailed.I have always provided my own oil & I make sure that I fit my own disc pads & avoid un-necessary costs
whenever I can.It doesnt invalidate guarantees, providing OE
parts are used...but ...I am in UK !

Lets see, $12.00CDN for a filter for my c280, then a trip to Canadian Tire for Mobil 1 at $26.00 for a 4litre jug. Of course, the c280 holds about 7 litres, so I need to buy 2. That's a grand total of $64.00 CDN and I'm changing the oil myself.

NO...I am not changing the oil on my own, I am providing the oil to MB, and let them change it for me....but if a bottle costs 26 bucks and I need 2..then that's not probably worth it to buy my own.

$62.00 Canadian for your dealer to change the oil and filter using Mobil 1 is a good deal. I'd do it. I forgot to add tax to my earlier post too. The total is actually $73.60 for me to do my own oil and filter. Slightly less, actually because I have that extra 1 litre each change. Eventually I will have one change where I don't have to purchase oil.
