How do I line up Timing Marks on M119 (w140)
Hey Fellas I got a big problem. I have a 1995 S420 Mercedes. I have already changed the heads. All of the cams are loose so valves are not being pressed down. I need to line up the camshaft timing marks to coinside with the proper crank shaft marking . Is the crank shaft 45degrees BTDC? Please tell me how to do this I have a Mercedes benz repair CD but it doesnt tell me or show me pics of any markings. If you can email me pic or even call me to explain that would be great to. 240) 893-9689 DEMETRI

That engine doesn't use timing marks...you need to set the engine at 45deg BTDC #1 cylinder compression stroke.. At that point there are places in each of the cam bearings to install a pin to lock each of the camshafts
