Check on kbb.com for the condition of the car. Be sure to tell your friend to have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by a knowledgeable tech so she knows the true condition of all the car's mechanical and electrical systems.

The R129s are still depreciating somewhat, but are starting to stabilize, like the R107s.
With the mileage getting piled on nowadays, mid $20Ks is what I am seeing for the nicer, defect-free examples.

Not really an answerable question on that much information. Condition is important and varies widely. What part of the country is has been in is also important. That said, the range for a 92 is probably about $8k to $16k. If it was me I'd look for a 93 to 95 with LH engine management system, won't cost much more.
