W202 c280 engine cooling fan
Could someone kindly expand on when the engine fan turns on?
From what I have gathered through searching from other forum sites , the fan is temp. driven. Is it? If so, at what engine temp. is it suppose to activate the fan ? My car reached a needle width before 100 and yet when I checked the cooling fan it was not running. Todays weather temp in my area hovered in the upper 50's to 60 degrees and so seeing my temp reach close to 100, I figured there could be something wrong which my cooling fan . Now this was in traffic, when I started rolling the temp slowly went down which is I know is a Mercedes trait . But was a little surprise to see 98 degrees on my engine temp. gauge when outside weather was cool. Normal or something at fault ? Any input would be appreciated. TIA |

What year? the C280 from 1994-95 uses 2 relays....the 1996-97 uses a fan module..., & the 1998-2000 has a different fan module system.
