I am doing an engine swap on a 87 16V. the exhaust has started to get small pinholes in it and I would like to replace it. The dealer wants 1400 bucks! THAT is not an option. Is there an aftermarket exhaust someone has used that they like? any hp improvements? I hate to even suggest it but what about an exhaust from Summitt Racing? Something like a flowmaster 3 chamber muffler? The price is right and i only need a muffler repalcement. I was considering relacing the cat as well (the car has 125,000 miles)While I don't think I have any problems with a plugged cat now I have heard that they do plug up and was thinking while the engine is out...
