Just put a trans in my car, have questions...

I have an 89 190e 2.6 and the trans went on me. Yesterday I got another transmission and put it in the car but it wasn't the same as the one I took out. My transmission has a red modulator and there were no metal lines running up the sides to this black thing bolted up near the front of the trans. The transmission I put in the car has a green modulator and those two lines that my car doesn't have anything to connect to them. One connects up near the front of the trans in the area in front of the modulator the second line connects to a round piece toward the back of the trans. My transmission just had a bolt where the first line connects and a tab that you could fit a small flat head screwdriver in in the back. The car seems to drive fine, no bucking, jerking or anything so far but I have yet to take it above 45 mph. Should I look to be worried if I plan on driving it at highway speeds? Just trying to be cautious as I know nothing about these transmissions and the only reason I put that one in the car is that it was the only one available in my area. That and it only had 15k on it....Was a rebuild.
