Camshaft 500sel replacement
The right camshaft of my 500sel (1985) needs to be replaced. Can I replace it with any MB camshaft? I have 2 camshafts le & re. from a 1972 4.5l engine. Do they fit? Can camshafts be reground? The engine has 215k miles but is running fine except the ticking noise
 that has recently developed.Any suggestions? tks Karl

I have a 39 Studebaker Coupe Express pickup in which I have had installed a 617 turbo and a five speed manual.  [SIGPIC]..I also have a 427 Cobra replica with an aluminum chassis.

I'm pretty sure because the one cam I can see thru the oil filler hole has deep groves. On Sat I'll take off the cover to check the entire camshaft. Maybe I'm lucky and it's only a bad rocker.
