i have a 1995 c220 purchased at the end of 1994. does the ottoscan work on my car? i saw their listing and it says not fully compliant and something about ISO?? can anyone help????

Apprentice,
YES, it should work. If you look under your hood on the passenger side where there is a bunch of writing, it should say OBDII Compliant. Mine does and it was produced in 8/94, purchased in 10/94 as MY 1995. When it's hooked up to scanners, it works just fine, nothing missing or anything. Provides all info, to my knowledge. But double check under your hood just to be sure. |
thanks david,
but i think 95 c280 uses OBDII but not c220. good for you and bad for me. are you getting the ottoscan? seems like a good deal |
No, our cars should have the same electrical/emissions systems. Check under your hood to be sure.
I am not going to get it unless I can get it for a laptop, and then I might split it with my friend Justin who has an E430. |

david, the C220 is a 4-cylinder and the C280 is a 6-cylinder, so I think that the electrical/emissions systems are not the same. greetingz, |
Yes, the C220 was sold from 94 through 96 in the US.
I know the emission systems are not the exact same, but I am pretty sure they have the same basic system/CAN. But Apprentice, CHECK UNDER YOUR HOOD TO SEE IF IT SAYS OBDII COMPLIANT!! |
