Again I have this issue - 99 C230k
Looks like my 99 C230K only likes to do this in the summer. Once again just last week, it started (only when cold starts) fires up and starts choking..wanting to die for about 5 seconds and then it revs up and all is fine all day.
6 months ago I replaced my fuel filter and I thought it solved it but now its back again. Spark plugs have been done a month ago. You name it, its been done except for o2 sensor but I dont think that is the cause as its running perfect once started, aswell no check engine lights. What gives?

Mine does that - only in warm weather - but it's accompanied by the air pump running on and off, short, repeated bursts of on/off. Mine's not a kompressor though. Do you see a correlation?

Yes air pump/kompressor runs when it finally gets going and fired up but I know its not normal for it to choke and run at 100rpm for 5seconds.

You guys are scaring me!! I have no idea about that. Maybe the fuel pressure is leaking down?

Could it be something with fuel pressure?
