1991 190e oil pan

I have a 1991 190e 2.3, there is a crack in the oil pan. I got a good used one to put on, am I going to have to take the engine out, or can I replace with the engine still in the car. I know on american v-8's you can loosen engine mounts and remove pan by jacking the engine up. Any tips/help would be appreciated.

you can remove bolts on motor mounts and jack engine up with stands[take off fan shroud first] i'm asssuming you will do this on a lift not on the ground.the diff is 4or 5 swear words versus 100.
