This is my first Benz, a '99 E320 with 101K miles. It is a great car and I'm repairing all the things that are needing fixing.
I posted questions about window regulator and fog lamp replacement. I got the best advice and serviced these 2 problems w/o a hitch, and I'm a novice. I'm very impressed with the wealth of knowledge on this forum.
Now onto my next two problems to service:
1.) The housing around the steering column the has the levers for the turn signals and speed control is loose. When I operate the turn signals or speed control the housing moves in the direction of the control that I am operating. How do I tighten the housing these levers are attached too? All the controls work properly.
2.) The light illuminating the dash clock is very dim, that during the day you can not read the time. At night it is legible but very dim.
This seems odd to me because it looks like an LED display, but it is dim like a bulb is loose and not fitting tightly. How do I remove the necessary panel to access the clock display? How do I correct the brightness issue?
