83 280se leaking hose

so I've been looking for leaks. I removed the air intake pan and I found a random wire, which ends as some sort of harness. It's coming, seemingly, from somewhere around the fuse box, but it was taped with other wires. I can't figure out what it could be for this is the part number it had #0115458528. Also, since i've been looking for leaks there is a hose that comes from the back of the engine and connects to another hose that goes to the radiator and water pump.
I tighten the hose, I can still see moist tho. there seems to b water in engine due to residues. I took it for a ride and she did her thing after temp went up it shut off on R and then again on D when when stoped. there was coolant all over after I got home. it looked to me more like radiator was over flowing.
Can any of you guys tell me what s up w this?
