how do you disconnect connector on w124 cold start valve?

I get a gas smell when the 1987 300e starts, and it disappears as the car warms up. So I'm thinking I should swap the cold start valve on my parts car, (already swapped the EHA), but even though I looked at a picture of the part unattaced, I can't figure out out to remove the electrical connector. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

More than one tech here has discounted the cold start valve.

If it were dead-of-winter.....maybe, but not at this time of year.

I'm just stating what I've heard here from pro techs or in other words, the cold start valve is likely not the problem.

Thanks, Mike. Why was I afraid someone would say that. Well, guess I have put the thinking cap on. Even so, I'd like to know how to take it off for when I part out the car.
