HELP: Fiiting Air Flow Meter to W220

I finally bought a new MAF and try to fit it onto my W220. There seems to be a metal clip at the back of the meter which I cannot remove.

There are no screws right!! But I do not seem to be able to move the clip. Any tricks?

Regards,
Michael Tse

Metal Clips

It is so obvious and simple that it might be throwing you for a loop.... Punch down on the tabs and pull backwards. The clips are like two arms holding the MAF in place. It will come out simple.... If you are hurting your fingers, you can use a flat-head screw driver (GENTLY) to help pry them back. Be careful not to bend or break the tabs. They are not delicate but will bend with pressure.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much. Do you mean there are two of them? I can only see one.

MAF Clips

Yes, there are 2 clips. One on the top and one on the belly side of the MAF. When looking directly at the MAF, you cannot see the clip underneath. It sounds like you are afraid to investigate! Don't be afraid of the car, unless it is an AMG- then as you would know- there is a Monster under the hood that looks for DIY'ers only to bite your hand off!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Just kidding-

I hope all works out for you....
