88 420sel Sunroof Operation
My sunroof is having a problem where it does not stop or pause between the transition of closing the roof and venting it. This is keeping it from closing correctly and it always takes in water unless I stand outside the car and try to move the switch back and forth to get it to close where it should be. Any suggestions as to what is causing this?

Are the tracks clean and corrosion-free? The lubricant you can get here on the forum made all the difference in the world on another member's car who was having a similar problem. We cleaned the tracks good and then applied the MB lubricant and it worked like a champ.

The tracks are extremely clean, no dirt, debris or corrosion. It just doesn't seem to stop and goes straight to venting.

I spent about 15 minutes today messing around with that white adjustment screw on the box, basically pulling it out one click and rotating clockwise one full turn at a time then pushing it back. When closing it stopped in the middle of the track, then further down and further down until I got it calibrated to close and stop right where it should be. It now works just like it was meant to.
