Is it easier to install the transmission first and then the engine or should I install as one unit?
Thank you, Tom |

It is a whole lot simpler to do the pair in one The alternative is to try and bench press a 100# tranny while bolting it in place in your driveway?

I recommend installing the two together. Save yourself a lot of trouble and use an "engine picker" to tilt the trans end down as you put the engine/trans in. If you have the AC condensor in, install the power steering pump and crankshaft pulley after the engine is in. This will give you some breahing room in front.
