Can replacing the front shocks on a 300e be done by any undercar specialist or should it be left only to a mb tech. I know replacing the rear shocks was pretty standard issue. Im just wondering how difficult it is to change the front ones.

The front shocks on a 124 are actually struts, but you don't need a spring compressor as most other struts. The springs do not mount around the strut.
Replacing them, although not a typical shock change, is not really a big deal. Good luck, |
