"E320" badge location on 1995 W124 wagon

I just had some rust addressed on my 1995 W124 wagon's tailgate:

Does anyone know how to put back the "E320" badge as close to the original / factory location as possible?

(We will go with pictures otherwise, but wondering if there is a better, more systematic way.)
