coolant leak advise

Hi,

Noticed a small amount if anti freeze dead center of my 280se. It's a euro twin cam 6cyl. and has 130,000 miles. I believe first and only other owner
replaced the original water pump in 1995. With the leak being dead center, or it appears to be am I correct thinking water pump. Does not make a lot of noise. I always put fresh cardboard under the cars to notice things like this. The thermostat is slightly to the left, however when water runs down...it could end up in the center. any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
