OVP like problem with new OVP

86 300E; it did the start-idle for a second and die a while back, replaced OVP and all was well; flooded with gas, poor spark checked coil and plug wires and there was poor conductivity so replaced them car runs great; left lights on for fifteen minutes, came out and it does the start-idle for a second and die routine> am towing it home tonight, could the fuel pump relay be shot? the fuel pumps are on obviously for it to start; ideas?
