1998 E430 Egr valve cover

Hello all .. Question.,,, while changing all 16 plugs.. I went to change the pass. side and notice oil on top of valve cover.. See picture.. Is there a gasket underneath there or atv sealer... It seems to be leaking..

Man, that's clean, you should see mine. That seems to be a common leak area for these engines, I have some oil there. It's a small amount. I think sometimes a little bit of oil can 'sweat out' and remain there. Different from a full-blown 'leak' per se.

Silicon sealer is all that is required, no gasket available.

Smile Thanks

Thanks... I was checkiing it out... I wiped a little bit of oil from it.. Isn't the tube that connects to it have the egr valve somewhere attached to it? I keep reading about having to unclog it ..
