How to clean this?

Hi

I have damage the gasket for the air intake manifold # 111 141 0780, is this expensive. Does it look like it was damage before I open it?

Any how I need to clean the joints for the new gasket to sit in nicely, what do I use to clean & can I clean its internal where there are pistons. cylinders etc

gasket removal

put rags or paper towels in the intake ports and spray with gasket remover and follow the instructions on the product. do the same for the manifold, and reinstall with a new gasket. make sure the surfaces are clean and dry before installation. i wipe mine down with laqire thinner before install and let dry

Thanks

Confirming is it using a lacquer thinner to clean the gasket joints incl the internals of the manifolds? Can I use this on the engine inlet where I can see the pistons?
