I never really liked the way my transmission shifts (still the same as 120000 miles ago). I recall the dealer doing a valve body upgrade 4 years ago or so. Is there a better software that would make the transmission downshift better (that is my main complaint, the delay). I almost always drive the car moving the shifter when I need to download and pass. Thought I would asked those in the know if there is a software upgrade, or a particular version I need to ask the dealer to make sure is installed.

Any help would be appreciated. My car was manufacture in October 1997, end of production for the 97 E420 (I now have 142k happy miles).
