420sel Abs
I did some searches about the ABS light coming on, and I probably have a bad sensor somewhere. My question is, is why would the brake pedal feel weird and make noises when I use it before the light goes on, and when the light finally triggers, the pedal feels normal, just with out Abs help?

most probably the two front sensors.the system is trying to activate the abs solenoids and that is what you feel in the pedal, before the light switches on.

The ABS system does a self check at about 10kph. Above that speed a problem will be recognized as a fault and the system is shut down. Up to that speed the fault won't shut the system down and they will be reacted to. The pulsing at slow speeds is a bad sensor input being interpreted as a wheel lock up and the pulsing is applied to stop it. If the fault is still there after 10kph the system shuts down and the light is turned on.

Thanks guys. I suppose I'll try to clean the sensors this weekend, and see if that helps. If not, I'll add that to my punch list of stuff to mess with. Ahh, so many things, so little money.

Well, I found that a plastic bag wrapped around the driveshaft at the diff, and cut the wires on the sensor. I just crimped the wires together for now, as I'm sure it wont last because the wires are pretty brittle.
