For a 1990 car ....

I'd try to get a hardcopy of the original NB manual. I'd be afraid that the CD stuff is just scans of the pages. In any case, buy the stuff produced by MB.

I have the same car, and WIS came with it. It was purchased by the PO. I have no idea if they are bootleg or legit. I suspect most if not all of the copies floating around Ebay are bootleg.

WIS is a pain to install, but once you get it working it's fine.

forget the CD as a workable item..the scans of the WIS pictures are next to useless...text is useful...OK for an overview .... the proper MB manual is the only way to go.

I have the CD's from MBUSA. They are good. A point to find stuff when you are in the garage working. I do not believe that MBUSA sells them anymore. Maybe if you post a want ad on the sales forum you might get one.

The hard-copy MB manuals come in at least 3 sets: body, engine, climate control. And I have never seen a MB or CD tranny manual.
The books are pretty rare these days. The ebay CD is okay, but the schematics and dwgs are almost useless, due to illegibility.

As others have reported the cds are OK, not great. When I bought my first MB I wound up buying two copies of one, thinking they were different. As it turned out the only difference was that one was an original and the other was a bootleg copy . For some reason the copy is on 2 disks while the original is on one. Complaining did no good as the bootleg seller shortly became "Not Registered."

Long story short, if you want the bootleg copy I have you are welcome to it FREE, I don't need it and would not feel comfortable selling it. Let me know, as I'm offering you first right of refusal. After that it's up for grabs to anyone, first come-first served.
