W123 Sunroof Seal
With 17 years of tinkering w/my '77 280E, I am ashamed to admit that I can't for the life of me install the front sunroof seal! The wind deflector is even out, along w/the roof - all easy stuff - and I can't get the seal in, even using the clothes-pin trick and silicone spray. I even removed one of the felt side strips to try sliding it in, but there doesn't seem to be any way to grab onto the leading edge of the seal to pull it through.
So does the bottom part go in 1st or second, and how? What's the secret? This seal has to be the worst MBZ nightmare yet.

The method I found to work the best is to silicon the whole thing and push the top part of the seal in first then a little at a time, work the bottom part of the seal in. Press hard on it afterward. I tried sliding it in from the side too at first... no dice.
