Check Engine light

I have a 1995 E320 Sedan. It runs very good but there's a check engine light for 6 months now. Does anybody here know how to fix it? Thanks

You'll first need to get teh codes read. Dealer or Indy mech can do it or you can make a code reader (blinking light) yourself. Use advanced search on this site and search posts by "Arthur Dalton" and "code reader".

As Terry states , you can get the codes ..and you can do it yourself........
On your model, you are lucky in that there is a built-in Led/Sw assembly that allows the owner to do just that. It is that little black box in front of the battery..lift the cap and you will see the push button and Led.
Turn key ON and press button for 8 secs..the codes will flash back at you in sequence.
Post what they are and we will tell you the possibles.
That button is for CE Emissions codes ONLY. and only trips the CE lamp.
There are other code access with the tool , but they are not for CE indicator lamp. [N59 module]

Arthur - I didnt realize the LED was integrated in the 95's.

Was 95 the first and last year that had that feature?

Yes..last of the 124 chassis had that feature..anything with Cal emmissions and CE lamp had that until they went with OBD2. That requires a digital scanner.
The rule of thumb is ...If you have a CE lamp on OBD1, you have a code stored and that code would effect emmissions standards.
The other sockets are more specific faults for the other system modules.
All93/95 had Cal emmisions standards, so they all have the led/sw. with analog Flash retrieve.
