W126 - What is/was this part?
Recently purchased 1985 380SE. The PO had installed the incorrect battery. During battery replacement I found what looks to be a toasted inline fuse. Can someone help me identify this part?
Thanks in Advance! |

Looks like the remains of a hood switch. Similar to a door jam switch.

If your alarm isn't working anyways, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the ID. The alarm is not working so I'll just forget about it and focus on the climate control issues
