Jeff I'm drooling.

I wanna see some pics.

And you said you have 16x8 8holes? are those from the 500e?

And jeff the bbs... which ones, and I want pics of the car with em on!!!!

I have a set of 16x8 et 34 8 holes lying around form my dad's car. he has 18" amg's now...

Eric, pics? sounds really nice, and a sportline to boot. I would love to see it with the calipers and wheels, sounds very nice.

I wish we could have a 300ce get together but not all of us are in southern california... :(

That would sure be a sight to see, a line of 124 coupes driving down the streets. :)

I have a pic or two of my old w123 coupe but have never taken any pics of these cars.
I guess I have to show off my car to share in the group? LOL
I picked the wheels up from a shop for next to nothing, I think they came off of a 400E as the 500 does not use the same wheel due to larger calipers. I have winter wheels for both cars that are 8 hole, 15" wheels.
I will let you know about the BBS wheels after I check the fit tomorrow.
What car did your dad's 8 hole wheels come off of.

When i get pictures I will share. Please send your digital camara to Kansas City?

My dad has a 94 SL600. The other benz that love. so smooth, so powerful, so beautiful. I'm trying to get him to black out the grille but leave the star chrome.

My brother has a 1985 380SL. He wants to get a 96 E420 next. I want him to get a 500E, but he says its outdated, I think it still looks better than 90% of the cars on the road... :) I think he's nuts for wanting the newer style 210 chassis over the amazing engineering of the 500e.

Jeff whats the offset on your 16x8's? if you have access tot he back of the wheel, you should be able to get the numbers off them.

I want to go 17 on my car, but I love the 8 holes in 16" too. :)

I am a coupe fanatic, love the 124 coupe. It was the benz I said I wanted when It first came out, and I was a young kid aroud 12 or 13 I think. Thats why I want to see your cars. you have two! and a 500e. :) You have two cars I want in my stable at all times. :) when I get a chance, when my business partners go buy their m5's, I'll be picking up a 500e decked out. :) but who knows when that will happen. hopefully soon :) hehe we are growing which is good.

I also really like the 123 coupes, very cool looking, and the predecessor to my car! :)

the SL's have an offset that will not work on the 124's maybe a 500e but I doubt it.

The offset is 31 on my coupe as I recall, I have not had them off the car since last week when I installed a set of slotted rotors on the 500 and a set of OEM rotors on the 300. When I fit the new wheel I will check what is on the car. As it sits, it is a little froggeyed as it sits with the wheels as far out as they can get. Tastefully I might add.

Have you ever thought about an SEC? Check out the site MBcoupes.com and check out the 32valve 560SEC.
http://www.mbcoupes.com/memberscars/T/satishtummala/satishtummala.htm It was tough for me to buy a 500E except for the fact that I bought mine with 56k miles for a good price as I was looking for one of these.

hehe I love the 126 coupes as well. I was looking at them and the 300CE and I decided I wanted the smaller car. :)

One day I'll have a 560SEC in my stable. :) hehe

My friends dad used to have a Euro 500SEC, that car was so damn fast... he kept a fire extinguisher next to the front seat.... Thank god he never had to use it. :) hehe

I'd love to know the ET number on those 16x8's and the part number if possible, but only if you feel up to it, I don't want you taking off the wheel just to see just for me...

S*** this was only a coupe roll call!

sorry for the post

suginami 01-28-2002 10:28 PM

I wish I had a coupe. One of the best cars MB designed.

I'm sure the W124 coupes are destined to be collectable, much like previous coupes.

Unfortunately, for the most part, sedans like my W124 just keep on depreciating, until they hit the floor, whatever that is.

I'm sure you're doing us all a favor by keeping these wonderful cars on the road for posterity.

P.S. Is it just me, or is Almadine red the most beautiful color you have ever seen? There is a 500E posted on another discussion thread on the Tech section that will knock your socks off.
Oh Lord, I know there is a commandment against coveting...

1992 300CE

I am the proud owner of a 1992 300CE that has 81,000 miles on it.The only upgrades to date are a cooling harness kit to allow the fans to come on earlier during hot weather. I will be upgrading the wheels to 16X7.5" hopefully in the near future. The present wheels are 15" chrome that are very pretty in their own right. The car is midnight blue with gray interior.

'90 300CE

Mine is white. After owning the car for 4 1/2 years, I am finally starting to really take care of it. In the process of installing Euro lights, and getting rid of the headlight wipers, which I will keep for authenticity if that ever becomes important. Let us get our own exclusive website someplace only for 300CE and E320Cs!

300CE 01-30-2002 01:36 AM

I have a '93 Silver with gray. 32,000miles all stock.

Indy300CE 01-30-2002 02:07 PM

I have a 1991 300CE with 26,000 miles.

Saguaro2000 01-30-2002 11:29 PM

How do we get our own website?

What can we do? Anybody have an ideas? These cars are great, but we need a separate discussion forum someplace.

There is a very nice 1991 300CE located at www.leonoff.net
Also there is a link attached to this site that has a good MBZ question/answer section with a number of the questions pertaining to the 300CE models. After you click on www.leonoff.net,click on 300CE them click on MBNZ.org W124 forum and you are there.Interesting site.
