300CE/E320 Coupe owners Roll Call!

I am very curious to know how many of us here have W124 Coupes.

I want to see pictures of all your w124 coupes!!!

Mine is a very nice 1992 300CE. it is Metallic black (black opal) on parchment interior. It sits currently on some speedline mistral 16x7.5 et35 wheels with 205/55/16 conti touring tires.

I have added neuspeed springs to lower it using 2 bump front and 3 bump rear spring pads.

You can see my beautiful car on my site... http://home.earthlink.net/~asherson

I was hoping someone, would ask this question. I have often wondered if there are alot of us out there.

I have a 1990 300CE, 24v. Smoke silver, with parchment interior. Euro headlights, clear corners, 94-95 headlight wipers, tinted glass. Sony Mobile ES, 10 disc changer, 12" sub (in the first aid box), 1200w MTX amp, MB Quartz speakers.

In process of Sportline conversion, then 17", 5 star AMG rims.

Hoping to keep it for a long time!

Man I want to update my hood and headlights bad.....

In fact I was just dreaming just last night that I did update them..

You can imagine my disappointment when I woke up this morning to see it hadn't been updated.. hehe

300CE

Proud owner of a Garnet Red 300CE. Awaiting delivery of some 18 x 8 wheels, and Eibach spring installation. Once completed, I'll post some pics.

Would be good to have a section specific to 300CE/300E though.

The grille has been returned to normal for the most part. the extra chrome (plastic door edge moulding stuff form pepboys) did not last, but it sure looked good for a while.

I have since repainted it with semi gloss black and it looks good. I do miss the extra chrome though...

My car is pretty much clean at all times. I have an unlimited wash plan, and if I have the time, I could get it washed every day. Though I generally only have time for once or twice a week if lucky.

Generally when I take pics, I clean the car first. hehe

That late model E320 Coupe looks really good, very very clean and simple!
If only it was equipped with a 5.0L engine from the 500E..

Glad to see there is another nut like me who dreams of the 500CE. hehe

I'll settle for a C36 engine transplant though. Thats what I want to do one day.

1993 300CE24

Here is a pic of my 1993 300CE24 convertible:

It is almadine red with black leather interior. It has auto transmission, cruise control, airco (I know that these options are all standard for the US, but they had to be paid for in Europe), heated seats (not power adjsuted though) and that is about it...

I don't know why, but I always have the urgent need to take apart cars...

1 old style and 1 new style headlight lens. I already changed the taillights, front indicators and head light lenses for the newer W124 E-style parts. I have a painted W124 E class hood and lower headlight trims, but the color was not good (too bright).
I stopped the model update activities to start updating my SL (since the 300CE isn't used anyways).

greetingz,

Looks like you upgraded to E500 lighting???

Curious, when you pull light switch to activate fogs.... what lights come on?

Usually, high flashers on E500 will activate the middle aux driving lamps...

Nope, just the average W124 E class lights...
As far as I know the W124 E500 has high beam units besides the grill (instead of the normal fog lights) and these are activated by the high beam switch. The lights in the bumper are the actual fog lights that are activated with the fog light switch (the light switch pulled once). The auxiliary fog lights, as some MB AMG models have them in the US, are not available in Europe. When the light switch is pulled twice, the rear fog light comes on (not the auxiliary fog lights in the W202 AMG front bumper for example...the European W202 AMG has auxiliary high beam lights in the front bumper).

greetingz,

I am the proud owner of 2 CE's a 92 and a 93. The 92 is the other half's car and the 93 is mine.

Her's is bright red/ dark red/ parchment with 108K miles. It has the factory Becker with 10 disc CD in the trunk. It's bone stock except for the 16x8 - 8 hole real MB wheels with 225/50ZR16 Conti Sport (OE Porsche) all around. Future upgrade include a full set of air dams and a complete strip and repaint over the winter. A new set of euro headlights are being sought after now as is an exhaust system.
I think the wife will look good driving an '84 Chevy 1/2 ton with lots of rust for a while. Maybe she will walk the extra 50 feet when she parks. NOT! I have a 2 door Honda Civic Dx (roll up windows and all) for her to drive when she gets her first dent after refreshing is done!! (please don't flame me)

I have a 93 CE black/black w/ black interior with 74k miles. Only one door ding! I bought it from a Dr. (2nd owner) who had a Starmark warranty on it. The factory Becker with the 6 disc CD player in trunk is still working but it has to have some attn. soon. The wheels 16x8 BBS's arrived today and a set of tires are being located as I type. This car is going to stay bone stock and will only get about 12k miles a year. I would like to drop a taller rear end into the car so it will really get off the line and an ASR bypass switch so I can play. What good are tires if they last more than 25k miles?

My other car is a 1992 500e, pearl black/ grey with black interior with 57K miles. Dead stock exept for the AMG chip. Enough said about whyI don't want to pep up the coupes too much. I need money to start prepping the 500 into a true beast. i will be posting a thread under 500e's soon.

Items needed; 1-2 sets of euro headlights, Sportline suspension package, and a money tree so my kids can stay in college

Proud new owner 93 300ce

I recently purchased a 93 300ce sportline, arctic white with ~73k miles. Upgrades so far are 17x8 OZ rims with 225x45 Yokohama AVS Sport tires, painted red brake calipers and Axxis Metalmaster pads that don't spew brake dust! More needs to be done to undo the previous owner's disregard for cosmetic care, but it is already a great ride.

Eric
