00 E320 4Matic - Rear end THUMP help.

Usually when going slow and then accerlerating I hear a thump on the rear end. Anybody have any idea what this could be?

I had a similar issue; but it was stuff sliding around in the trunk. Did you check there?

no its def not stuff in the trunk... when the transmission changes threw gears you can hear a thump.

I'm going to start with changing the transmission and differential fluid.
Checking the flex disc and go from there.
