chips and scratches
1990 300 SE Taupe-colored...Have some miscellaneous chips and scratches in the paint. Just put a new scratch on today. (...Depressed...) I'm tempted to try to buy some touch up paint (would a dealer even sell you this?) and try to fill in some of the worst scratches, and then wax it up. Any hope of success here? Any other ideas short of a professional paint job?

You might check the detailing section for answers to your questions.
There are car lots who use a mobil detailer to fix these also. Though not as good as repaint of panel, some of their work that I have seen is quite good. They do color match and airbrush. Larger MBZ Dealers should be able to supply you with a name and phone # of who they use. They also use the Dent Wizard guys too. Gary |

And...Your dealer should be able to get you touch
up paint. It comes with a color and clear bottle as a set, as I recall. They will need paint code from your car if you do not know the exact name of your color. Gary |
