E320 clicking noise in rear
My TE has developed a clicking noise that seems to relate to something rotating in the rear. It only does it when I accelerate from a stop, while turning right. It's pretty harsh, then as speed picks up, it seems to go away. Axle, or rear CV joint ? any thoughts ?

Parkingbrake ?
I would jack up the rear, put it in Drive & look & listen.

I have the same problem on my 90 TE, from a stop, turning right the clunk in the rear of my car sounds like someone is hitting some hollow pipe with a hammer, quite loud, the rate rises and falls with speed until about 15 MPH it disappears-
been driving me crazy for almost a year- the problem will be quite pronounced, then will completely disappear for a month or two, then come back! Any ideas? Thanks Dan

Same here Dan, and yesterday with my wife aboard it really started rapping when I took off from a light. I was concerned we wouldn't make it home, but it never did it again. I am betting it is the left rear axle, but may have to just wait till something fails to really know. From the sounds yesterday, it won't be long.
