Replace Catalytic Converter-99 E430
I bought a non-original catalytic converter for the passenger side. Would appreciate any feedback from anybody who has replaced their catalytic converter with a non-original part. Is this pretty much a straightforward replacement? Will I need any other parts other than gasket for front flange? i.e bolts/nuts/clamps, etc.
thanks......Highwater |

What brand did you get? I have not done one on that car. My only advice is when you get the old one out, lay it next to the new one and compare it carefully. Check out the angles and brackets etc. When I bought one it had a couple of differences that caused me a lot of trouble.

Thanks MPOLLI. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going to the Mercedes dealer today to see what accessories I might need for the job. I was thinking of taking it to a muffler shop to let them do the work although I might still try it myself.
