No start hot or cold

Engine turns over but no sign of starting. Fuel is present, even using starting fluid there is not even a hiccup...nothing! So I checked for a spark at both the plug wire and at the coil tower, nothing. I have 12+ volts at the coil with ignition on.
I searched the forum for EZL and Reference sensor info. can the sensor be measured with an ohm meter?
When I crank the engine the tach. needle doesn't move. I seem to remember that before this problem the tach showed cranking speed ( I may be wrong.)
How much is the EZL unit and any ideas where, apart from a dealer I can buy one?
