K-1 tranny spring kit - Whooooya

It's fixed - for $10 and a few minutes labor. K-1 spring kit from the dealer.

This all started last year when I pulled the tranny and went in only far enough to replace the worn-out reverse plates.
I pulled the K-1 plates and checked them out, everything looked fine, so I bolted the tranny back together.
Well, reverse worked great, but then the 2-3 shift was soft. I thought sure I had put the k-1 spring washer in wrong, or had nicked a teflon sealing washer - so, last month, out she came again.
Well, all appeared fine in there. I checked the spacing, put in new teflon seals, and dejectedly put her back together.

Then, I read all about the k-1 spring kit, and decided to give it a try.
Wow, we're all fixed! I was even able to reduce the accumulator pressure a bit, to soften that 3-4 shift that has been a little firm since the car was a baby. I'm a happy camper!

Should have tried the spring insert that softens the 1-2 shift too.

Why worry about the 1-2; don't pull any stumps with her. (HeHe).
