Unhappy 1999 500SL AC not working

I have a 1999 500sl and the AC stopped working, only hot air blows out. I checked fuses and they were ok. I checked the low pressure side and it was high. Any suggestions what else to check?
Thks,

If you have a high pressure reading the clutch will cut out and not pump. you most likely have a restriction and probably at the expansion valve, your year may have the needle valve orifice, they tend to plug with a thick black gunk,if so then the system needs to be flushed, check around see if you can find a service place that will flush it with nitrogen, dose a great clean out.

I suspect that my "high" he means only 70 psi or so. A quiescent system will have such a reading on the low side.

have your system cleaned and if that dont work put a rebuilt compresser and it will solve all your problem. the clutch is not working properly on compresser.

If the cold air went away ....

suddenly, you could have a bad evaporator temperature sensor. A lot of MB cars have diagnostics that can be run with the A/C controller. Look for info on how to do this and interpret them. Use the search feature of the forum.
