Removing Door Handle

What is required to remove the door handle from 1 89 560 SEC? Something broke in all the locking links in my door and I am not able to lock my door anymore.
I removed the door panel and everything possible and the only thing left is to disconnect the link that connects to the key drum (The piece that you insert the key in). I found little clips on the inside of the door that seemed to be holding the door handle to the body but I broke two of them trying to gently pull out the door handle. My question is how do we remove the door handle without risking to break the clips holding it on? Are special tools required? Is that a hidden screw I didn't see? Thanks for any help.

This may help. With door closed look at the door handle. The left side of the handle is secured by a phillips screw. The right side is secured by an allen screw seen from the latch end of the door. With the door open there may be a small cover plug hiding the allen screw. There may be a hole in the door (from inside, since you have the panel already off) to fit a screw driver to access the screw. This is how I replaced my door handle on my '84 SEC. I hope yours is similar.
Of course you will also need to disconnect the locking shaft from the inside to free the handle from the outside.
Good time to clean and lube the window tracks too.

Great Help so far, I'll try this first thing in the morning. Also, mind if I ask how do we disconnect the locking shaft from the inside? If I'm able to do this without removing the door handle it should be enought for my problem. Thanks a lot for the help!
