W202 Not getting power to injectors HELP!

I have a 96 W202 C280 and my car wont start. I replace a new crank sensor, OVP circut, and just recently got a new ECU. So i was wondering my car cranks fine but wont fire and there is no power to my injectors. So my dad thinks its the ECU that he bought because he took that same ECU to try on a friends c280 and it wont start on his car also. But my main question is that can the ECU cause the car not to get any spark to the injectors?

Yes,

You can't swap the fuel ECU on that car. It is "married" to the DAS computer.

Update! So after installing 2 different ECU they both dont work. So we had a freind bring up his same model car 96' C280 and we tried both ECU that we bought off selvage yard and they both failed to start our friends car. Now we are forced to and might have t purchase a new ECU thru mercedes which cost $1400!!!!!! Now my dad went to ur friends car and took out a little black box under the passenger floor and put that in our car. So now our car has spark. So other then a new ECU what is that little black box called under the passenger floor next to the RCL box? but yes we still have a long way to go before we an get it starrted..

Those ECUs may be fine but just can't communicate with the ECU since they are from different cars. That is what MB Doc was telling you. It may be possible to make them work, hopefully MB Doc will chime in on this, but if true you would still need the Mercedes diagnostic computer system to do it.

Search ILUVMILS posts from ~6 months ago; there was a company that could reprogram them I believe. Its either that, buy the new MB unit, or find a really good car theif to program it for you.

What happened to the orig ECU?
