190E Hood Emblem removal/replacement
Sorry to seem so ignorant, but I have searched the other posts and cant find the answer. I am trying to replace the hood ornament on my 190E. Got the new one today but cant figure what holds it on!! The old one was broken and the base was still on. I pulled the pin out of the spring and it came right out. Please help. Any help would be appreciated. I must be missing something here!! Its probably so simple that I will kick myself when I find out. Thanks

Whatever you do..do not pull the pin out of the new one!!!
You should have a hole that you can fit the new one in. Once the base is through the hole you need to grab the base from underneath ( I used a needle nose plier), pull it down and turn it about 90 degrees, let go and voila! Once you let go it snaps back up at a right angle to the way it went in through the top. I wrote this quickly but I hope you got it Hope it helps. |

Man, How dumb could I be!!! Thanks a million. It worked perfectly just like you said!!! Im going to go for a cruise now!!! One more question if you might know, one of my fog light lens is broken out (the car had been slightly abused) Do I replace the whole headlight unit or what? It all seem to be plastic. Any help would be appreciated.
Again thanks for the tip on the emblem.!!! Rkc (aka D/A) |

you can buy a new headlight bezel for the fogs.
