W124 e200T Electric Windows

Hi,

Both the electric windows in the front doors work okay, but when they have say got around 3inch left to close they really slow down as if the long edge of the glass next to the B-pillar needs lubricating down that side, or would the door panel trim need removing repair other parts ?

Thanks for reading.

W124 e200T Electric Windows

Hi,

The electric windows in both front doors are opening ok but when closing have started to close very slowley now. I've lubricated the window seal especially the B-Pillar where the glass seamed to be sticking. This has helped a little, is there any other parts I should be looking at if I remove the door panel ?

Thanks for reading

Unfortunately

The Electric Window "Lifts" regulators (The Scissor action "Pot Metal" crapola)
don't help matters.

I'm experimenting with "Dry Lube" in the window tracks (Felt).
Catalina Direct: Sailkote Dry Lubricant 16oz

The windings on the motors may be "Tired".

The dry loob, seems a option to try first. The motors do seem to have some power behind them. I had a look but that silly sissor action lifting affair does seems a lot of engineering.

Rubber Squeegee on inside of door panel

'Old, Hard, Brittle "Used to be Rubber" compound lip that's fitted into the inner
top of the door liner.

'Acts as a hindrance to smooth operation,Especially if you've got old Tint Film
that's not perfectly applied. The Film / Rubber interaction "Chatters".

I'm playing around with the Convenience Control underneath the rear seat
trying to locate a 16 Amp fused + source that's HOT all the time to use
to power the Sunroof with my remote RF control...And the right rear window
starts "Chattering" on the way down. The Tint Film Looks good BUT when
felt with the fingers,it has "Waves" that hang up the Old Rubber lip on the
top of the Door liner.
