1988 300e knocking
I looked under the hood and there appears to be what seems to me to be an engine shock that is attached to the front of the engine and a bushing seems to be missing where it is attached and therefore banging against the bolt it's attached to...
Am I correct in thinking this is an engine shock? and can the bushing be replaced or do I have to buy the whole part? It's attached on the same level as the injectors or close to it. thanks for your help Ken |

It's the surp' belt shock. Install a bushing or buy a new shock kit. Common problem...I make a new end bushing out of some red Polyurethane
I have kicking about I have over from a sway bar job.. .
