Dying W126 in los angeles-who wants it? free

yes 1984 500 SEL 215k I have gone thru the seven stages of (auto) death - can't spend $2k on valves. Please come get a nice, cherry parts car. I will be driving a ? toyota? soon.

That's a shame

Why not pop a set of heads on it. PM me, maybe I can help because I have a set of '84 500 SEL heads I don't need anymore. I'll practically give them to you if that will help you out. All you'd need is a gasket set.

Sell it to the state of California?

I am pretty sure that the State of California will buy it back, if it runs, and you have a clear title to it, in your name for at least 2 years, for around $600.

The program "Voluntary accellerated vehicle Retirement program" does exist.
