'94 E420 won't start after ABS light came on

Hello. I was driving my '94 E420 and all of the sudden the fuel gauge went to empty from 1/2 full and the ABS light came on. I pulled over the car and shut it off. I try to start it and it won't start or turn over. All i hear is a small humming when I have the ignition key fully turned. What happened and how to fix it? Did I blow a fuse?

The belts look fine and all the electrical stuff like the window work fine. I jumped it and nothing changed.

Matt

I wish I was well versed in electrical systems. I would start with checking all your fuses, may as well. The car should have a few spares anyway. I'm more of a block of steel person.

If you don't know how to check you're fuses, look up in the MB manual and locate where they are. Then pull them out and see if the metal part inside is at all broken. If it is, replace it.

I did have something similar happen to me awhile back though driving 1k miles to florida in a buddies (old) car, it was the Distributor Rotor or Distributor Cap. I don't recall.

All we heard was humming aswell.

Good Luck

By the way is fuse #5 in the regular fuse box or in the computer box?

Do you know what color/amperage it is?

Regular fuse box. There might be spares in the box. I think, it was a red one, but I am not sure.
