Park/Turn signal lamps
I have a 1978 300CD which had a broken right front turn signal housing. I have ordered two replacements, one from a salvage yard, and one an aftermarket unit from a non-MB vendor. Both have the same round, two terminal bulb socket. Problem is, mine is more of an oval socket with 3 connectors. Any suggestions, other than going to the dealer and giving up the familiy inheritance for a new one?
Thanks, Bud

First of all it's complete immaturity to be afraid of dealers and to fantasize their prices are out of line.
Secondly, the bulb holder from your old unit will fit either of your new units.

First of all, I didn't ask for your assessment of my maturity, and I do know that in most cases the dealer cost is higher than what I can purchase for elsewhere.
Secondly, if the bulb holder would have fit, I wouldn't have posted in the first place.

Sorry to contradict but I've got a quote once for the EHA (W124 1989 300CE) $517 pretax from MB dealership and when you do a search for other part vendors the price ranges from $179 - $229.
