88 300 se alarm problem
 
had to get new drivers outside door handle and lock, found out i had to get complete handle. needed to drive car while waiting fore part.just stuck handle back in door, mech friend went to start car to bring back to me and alarm went off he opened hood and unhooked smaller wire on poss batt posi post to turn off alarm, it went off he then drove car back to me the car drove back and when he put it in rev at my house it died and every thing is dead.smaller wire on battery post still un hooked and one wire at handle unhooked.first can we put car back together and drive untill part comes in. and what kind of problem do we have when part comes in. thanks dave:(

the alarm has no control over the dead car issue. it's an unrelated problem that's causing it not to start.

the alarm ONLY blows the alarm horn when activated and working properly. me, i'd unplug the sob and get on with life. the control unit is under the carpet, below the dash, next to the injection ecu. good luck, chuck.

Yes, unplug the alarm. Its on the pass side under the false floor and iis a black box with Becker writen on it. Unplug both connectors. Then figure out what your starting issue is.

thank you for info . i think no run problem was that we unhooked smaller wire at posi batt post and drove car battery went dead, i think this is wire that recharges battery,i,ll let you know,dave:)
