C Class HID Conversion Question

I see more and more HID kits in eBay ($69-$300) but not too many for MBs. I'd really like to try in on my C220 but being that the headlights are inside an assembly with an accessible sealed cover, I can see it would be tough to connect directly to the 9003 bulb. You have to go thru the 4-pin terminal outside the assembly. So the basic kit will probably not work. MTEC in eBay claims theirs is the best unit for MBs.

Am I assessing this correctly? Has anyone tried this conversion? If so, how did you make it work? which product did you use?

Thanks

The Aftermarket kits require cutting the wire harness and mounting the kit on or near the headlight..then run the wires to the bulb socket..Also you will have to seal up the added wires going into the headlight from the kit or water WILL leak into the headlight assy

Also the NON Xenon Headlight housing does NOT have the correct projector OR Cut off light pattern ...

If you are looking to Upgrade the headlights for better night use...The kit is NOT for you

If you want to LOOK Cool then this is what you are looking for

Well, that pretty much sums it up right there... I want it to be functional - not for aesthetics. And no, I do not want to alter anything so until someone comes up with the right unit......
