Combination Switch

I am looking for a '86 W201 (or generic if the same) combination (turn, wiper, cruise) switch remove/installation walk through. I searched the forum - not much on the subject. Any and all help appreciated.

First, you need to take off the steering wheel. Then, unscrew the cover ( 3 or 4 screws). You will see the switch.

I sure that you need to get loose the criuse contral switch first. Then follow the wiring to unplug it.

About the combination switch, the connector is directly to the fuse box. Follow the wires and find the connector to the fuse box. That connector is very tight to get off. I using a heavy metal wire to take the plug off.

Sorry!!! My English is bad.... Hopefully, you understand!!

Make sure to disconnect the battery before removing the airbag, and keep the battery disconnected the entire time. When I replaced the combo switch on my W210, I made the mistake of reconnecting the battery without the airbag connected (to telescope the steering wheel outwards). The SRS light became activated, and I had to go to an indy to get it turned off at the cost of 1 hour labor. Only dealers or SDS-equipped indies can reset this light, as a regular code scanner won't do it.

After battery disconnect, I'd also pull the red SRS connector off of the control unit under the footrest in the passenger foot well.
